At the September 2026 meeting of the Bishops’ Appeal advisory committee, the decision was made to send an immediate emergency payment of ten thousand euros to CMSI to support emergency relief work in Nepal following the recent catastrophic flooding in the country. CMSI has long standing partners working in in Nepal, and members of the Church of Ireland have visited on different occasions. Any funds received by Bishops’ Appeal for Nepal will similarly be sent via CMSI to support those caught up in the floods in the country. Parishes and individuals wishing to contribute to this need are encouraged to send their donations directly to CMSI.
