How can I give online?
We hope that the following practical information will be helpful for readers wishing to make online donations. Your support is much appreciated.
- Online donations can be made, in euro or sterling, for amounts of €10.00 / £10.00 or more, through the link provided below.
- Donors making a contribution in this way will be asked to enter a code provided on the website before proceeding to payment (as a check to verify that they are making the payment in person). This is known as a Captcha Enter code and is displayed in the bottom right corner on desktops and the bottom of the page on mobiles.
- You will be also asked to enter some personal information to ensure that we can record and properly acknowledge your donation – email address, name, address, town/city, county, and phone number. All of your personal information will be processed in keeping with data protection law and our privacy policy.
- There will be an option to choose either Gift Aid (in Northern Ireland) or tax-efficient giving (in the Republic) when making an online donation. Making this choice will help your gift will go further and make more of a difference.
How can I give through my bank?
Donations can be lodged directly into our euro or sterling accounts.

Please note, that in order to acknowledge receipt of your donation, it is important that you state the parish or individual name in the lodgement narrative. Also, if the funds are for a specific appeal, country or project please state this.
As with online donations, if you choose to apply either Gift Aid (in Northern Ireland) or tax-efficient giving (in the Republic) to donations made in this way, the value of your donation will be increased.

How can I give through my parish offering?
Donations can be made through your parish or your diocesan office.
If a parish wishes to provide receipts to individual donors, it will also need to provide a email addresses for each donor along with the amount given.
How can Gift Aid and tax relief increase my donation?

PAYE taxpayers in the Republic of Ireland can increase the benefit to Bishops’ Appeal when they donate €250 or more. This tax concession is given on a full tax year basis so Bishops’ Appeal receives the benefit on donations given in one tax year during the following year.
